• Step 1 — Stick it to the glass. Clean the inside of your window, peel the 3M pad and press the mount flush to the glass at a slight downward angle.
• Step 2 — Plug in the USB cable. Connect to any USB mains adapter — no batteries, no wiring into the wall.
• Step 3 — Pair the app. Scan the QR code to connect on iOS or Android. Your live feed is up in seconds.
• Optional — Insert a microSD card. Slide in any standard card up to 128GB to enable clip recording and playback. Without a card, live view and motion alerts still work perfectly.

Night Vision — Honestly Explained

The LookOut uses color low-light night vision (not infrared), which means it needs some ambient light — a street lamp, porch light or moonlight outside. For best results: turn off indoor lights near the camera so the glass doesn't reflect back, and mount the lens flush to the window. In total darkness with no outdoor light, footage will be limited — but in typical US conditions with street lighting, performance is strong.
